Sponsorships Requests
2008
Our sponsorship program helps us to meet our
mission: we seek to instigate action so
that people with developmental disabilities have
better opportunities, while spreading
the word about Foundation activities.
During 2008 we are seeking to focus on activities that relate to our
three initiatives:
Bright Ideas, Earning A Living, and Leveraging
Self-directed Supports. Generally,
we seek to cover the direct expenses of activities
related to promoting these initiatives (such as speaker fees, books,
and supplies) rather than to provide general conference sponsorship.
Requests for educational events, conference speakers or fees, or
symposiums will be considered at any time, are considered as they are
requested, and as the opportunities fit our mission and initiatives
We sponsor:
· Educational events to bring new or innovative ideas to our area
· Conferences or speakers related to improved service delivery models
· Symposiums to gather folks together to advance the field
Please try to answer the following questions in your letter of request:
1. How does this request meet our mission?
2. Briefly describe your activity, including;
· Who will benefit?
· What are you trying to get done?
· How will you do this?
3. Does this fit with one of our initiatives?
4. How will this bring more, better, or free
services to those with developmental
disabilities?
Your letter of request should be attached to the
Request Cover Sheet.
A limited amount of sponsorship funds are available.
