How to apply for
Grants
Grants are intended to help us meet our mission: we
seek to instigate action so that people with
developmental disabilities have better opportunities.
While always looking for good innovative ideas, during 2008 we are
seeking to focus on activities
that relate to our three initiatives: Bright Ideas, Earning A Living,
and Leveraging Self-directed
Supports.
Bright Ideas- We are seeking Simple Bright Ideas to provide more,
better, or free services
to people with developmental disabilities.
Earning A Living- We want to support potential entrepreneurs or those
with an idea about
how to advance their career or the career of a person with
developmental disabilities.
Self-directed Supports- We believe that people have ideas that would
improve the value of
their government provided support. We want to engage flexible case
managers in a
discussion that could bring some of these ideas forward.
Please try to answer the following questions in your two page letter of
request:
1. What problem, need or issue will you work on?
2. Briefly describe your program or idea, including;
· - Who will benefit?
· - What are you trying to get done?
· - How will you do this?
· - How long will this take?
· - What are you asking The Foundation to
do?
· - How much will it cost?
· - Where do you think the remainder of the
funds will come from?
3. How will this bring more, better, or free services
to those with developmental
disabilities?
4. If your project is successful, can it be replicated?
Your letter of request should be attached to the
Request Cover Sheet.
A limited amount of grant money is available.
